    Institutional Review Board (IRB) – Ensuring Ethical Excellence

    The Institutional Review Board (IRB) at SMBBIT is an independent body that ensures all research involving human participants adheres to the highest ethical and scientific standards. Our mission is to protect human rights, dignity, and safety while supporting innovative research that contributes to global healthcare advancements.

    IRB Review Scope
    • 📌 Clinical Trials & Medical Research – New treatments, drug studies, and advanced procedures.
    • 📌 Epidemiological & Public Health Research – Disease surveillance and healthcare interventions.
    • 📌 Case Reports & Systematic Reviews – In-depth analysis of patient cases and literature.
    • 📌 Quality Improvement & Policy Research – Enhancing medical practices and healthcare policies.
    Submission Guidelines

    Deadline: 15th of each month

    Documents Required:

    • ✔ Signed IRB application form
    • ✔ Medical record request (if applicable)
    • ✔ IRB application checklist
    • ✔ Informed consent forms (hard & soft copies)
